New Garbage Services Provider: Best Trash
Montgomery County MUD No. 166 has accepted a proposal for a new garbage services provider, Best Trash, after receiving notice from Texas Pride that it was not renewing its prior contract this summer.
The last trash service day with the current provider, Texas Pride, will be Thursday 8/28. Texas Pride will have a crew removing all trash containers the same day, after they are serviced. Please leave the containers out on the curb for the removal.
Best Trash has provided the following information on the transition:

Service Begins: Tuesday, September 2, 2025
New Collection Days: Tuesday & Friday
Cart Delivery-scheduled for August 29, 2025
Each household will receive one 95-gallon trash cart (black with a red lid). Please do not use the new cart until service begins.
Trash Collection Guidelines
- Trash will only be collected from the Best Trash cart, personal trash cans (30–50 gallons), or trash bags not exceeding 40 lbs.
- Place all trash at the curb by 7:00 AM on collection days.
